NJMoCA Art Conversations

The world of contemporary visual art is often intimidating, challenging, and seemingly unapproachable. To help break those perceptions and barriers, New Jersey Museum of Contemporary Art will present “NJMoCA Art Conversations,” a series of three scholar-led panel talks that will provide context and insight into what defines contemporary art, its transformational trends, and its relevance and impact on society.

Accompanying the exhibition “HEADS” is a full K-12 curriculum with suggested studio lessons that will allow teachers and students statewide to enjoy art field trips at their convenience and discover the value of contemporary art in today’s society.

Introducing Students to Contemporary Art

NJMoCA gave hundreds of Asbury Park students, from elementary school through high school, the opportunity to experience extraordinary contemporary art, encouraging them to make connections between skills they are developing in school and the visual arts.


Inaugural Gala

It’s All American

“It’s All American” kicked off an art world celebration with a benefit gala and preview of the largest collection of contemporary art ever presented in New Jersey. More than 500 major arts patrons, gallerists, artists, and other movers and shakers of the art world came to fete NJMoCA’s entrance onto the international stage of contemporary art.
